Progress continues on the construction of the Village of Corinth’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. When operational, the facility will have the capacity to treat 730,000 gallons of wastewater per day. This increased treatment capacity will meet the anticipated increase in need based on the projected growth of the Village’s population over the next 20 years. It will also provide adequate treatment capacity to support needs generated by projected business development that may generate as many as 400 new jobs.

Shown below is the construction of six planted sludge beds, each approximately 7,560 square feet in area – just one part of the filtration system in this sizable Wastewater Treatment Plant. A new control building is also under construction.

Laberge Group partnered with the Village of Corinth to secure a CDBG grant for $1 million, a NY Water Grant for $3.5 million, and 0% interest financing over 30 years for the remainder of the project cost. The successful procurement of this grant funding and financing was critical to the implementation of this project that is of vital importance to the community.

Laberge Group is proud to be part of this important project designed to improve water quality and the quality of life of Corinth’s citizens while fostering economic development strategies that would not have been possible with the Village’s previous wastewater treatment facility.
