Laberge Group was retained by the Town of Annsville to provide engineering, survey, and grant administration services for a new sand and salt storage building adjacent to the Town’s Highway Garage. The completed structure will accommodate 7,000 cubic yards of sand/salt mix to be used for winter road maintenance.

Laberge Group has performed a building site evaluation including a topographic survey to establish floor elevation and site grading. The firm will also develop schematic plans and performance specifications, develop a project manual for use in permitting and bidding, assist with the public bidding process, and provide grant administration services for the Water Quality Improvement Project (WQIP) grant awarded for the implementation of the sand and salt storage building.

The project is scheduled to be completed in time to prepare for the 2020-2021 winter road maintenance season. The Town’s mixed sand/salt supply will be stored within the new building, protecting it for use throughout the winter and protecting the surrounding environment from contamination by salt runoff.

If your community is contemplating the need for a sand and salt shed, we would be happy to discuss the options available to you, including the possibility of grant funding to defray the cost.
