Congratulations Town of Brookhaven, $22 Million in Funding Awards!

Congratulations to the Town of Brookhaven on securing over $22 million dollars in grant funding in 2025! Laberge Group is proud to assist the Town through an Annual Grant Writing Services Agreement which includes provides a comprehensive approach to funding success— including funding needs analysis, targeted grant research and monitoring, and full grant proposal development. This streamlined service provides efficient, long-term funding strategies that align funding resources with the community’s top priorities while maximizing opportunities across multiple funding sources.
Laberge Group currently provides this service for a number of municipalities throughout New York State.

Funding Awards include:
$9,687,500: NYS Water Infrastructure Improvement Act Grant (WIIA)
$5,000,000: Dept. of Housing and Urban Development Economic Development Initiative, Community Project Fund
$5,000,000: Empire State Development Pro Housing Supply Funds Program
$1,500,000: Environmental Protection Agency State and Tribal Assistance Program, Community Project Funding.

The awarded funds will support several critical initiatives, including:
• Brookhaven Landfill Capping Project – Safely and effectively capping more than 54 acres of remaining solid waste at the landfill.
• Mastic Beach Sewer District Infrastructure Project – A key component of the Neighborhood Road Redevelopment Project, this effort will support the transformation of the Mastic Beach Neighborhood Road and Mastic Road Corridor into a revitalized downtown business and residential area. The new sewer district will serve homes and businesses while safely treating millions of gallons of wastewater each year.
• Miller Place / Sound Beach (Woodhull Landing) Drainage Project – Modernizing drainage infrastructure to enhance flood resilience, protect water quality, and safeguard both natural and built environments.
