Members of Laberge Group’s Government Operations & Efficiency Team were honored to join Jim Gordon, Director of the Bureau of Central Services for Rensselaer County for a series of three Public Hearings. This series of meetings were established to deliver information to the public regarding the recently developed Draft County Wide Shared Services Initiative (CWSSI) and to provide an opportunity for public input prior to submitting the plan to the County Wide Shared Service Panel.

The team presented key elements of the plan, including recommended short-term shared services initiatives that were identified for implementation in 2021, as well as long-term opportunities targeted for implementation in 2022 and 2023. The short-term initiatives are projected to result in savings of more than $1.1 million for Rensselaer County citizens in the first year, while simultaneously improving or maintaining the quality of service delivery.
