Public participation is integral to the Comprehensive Planning process - we need your input!
There will be opportunities for you to assist with data collection, community visioning and mapping, and the creation of community goals and objectives.

• Public Hearings- the Town Board and CPC will hold at least one public hearing each prior to adopting the Plan, pursuant to requirements of NYS Town Law. The draft Plan will be made available for public review here and through the Town Clerk. Community feedback from the hearings will be used to refine the Final Plan.
  - Proposed Bolton Comp Plan May 20, 2025. Appendix 1, Appendix 2, Appendix 3, Appendix 4. The Town Board will continue a public hearing on the proposed Plan on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 @ 06:00 p.m.

• Public Workshops:
  • Workshop #1- Visioning: Assets/Challenges Open House
    This workshop will be structured as an “open house” style event to allow the public to participate at times most convenient to them. The workshop will be designed to solicit ideas that articulate a “preferred future” or “vision” for the Town, as well as to provide feedback related to Bolton’s resources, opportunities and challenges.
  • Workshop #2- Smart Growth Goals and Projects
    This workshop will also be structured as an “open house” style event. Topics will build upon Public Workshop #1. Specifically, the event will be designed to solicit feedback on draft goals and strategies that align with Smart Growth Principles. Key projects that have been identified will also be presented, and input solicited.
